Hi I posted last week regarding my ds having symptoms and had what looked like a positive lft but it had a dye run so couldn't see properly so booked pcr. Pcr came back negative so he went to school as normal however 3 of his friends tested positive and ds still had a cough so I continued to test just incase which were all negative. He had a lft at school Thursday which was negative but said the teacher didn't what for it to developed just saw the control lone and binned the test. Yesterday I did a lft which had a very faint thin line so repeated last night and the same happened so I repeated again today and he had a very faint line again so did a pcr again and waiting on result. What I'm confused over is his friend tested positive on 2 lft with no symtoms but pcr was negative and he was still told to isolate and not attend school but my ds was told to go in even though he had a cough as he had a negative pcr so I'm very confused as to why his friend has to isolate. If the pcr now comes back positive I'm now worried he could have infected a few people seen as his symtoms were worse last week than this week but the school insisted he goes in. It's been 9 days since he had symptoms and positive contact so surley he'd have had a positive pcr by now if he had it or is it possible it can show 9 days on? Anyone had just faint lines and so late on? Tia
