Anyone else not seriously unwell but exhausted?

I tested positive 14 days ago. Honestly, I wasn’t well the day before- but it was very low level and I only realise with hindsight that it was the start of Covid.

In bed for about 4 or 5 days (sleeping, resting, very headachy with muscle cramps and a cough), gentle pottering for another 4 days or so trying to get back to normal. Yesterday I did two slow dog walks (poor thing has had to rely on anyone who could collect him) for 15/20 mins each and WFH on a training course.

Today I can hardly move. So tired, struggling to get dressed. Otherwise no symptoms.

Anyone felt like this and can tell me how long it’ll take to get back to normal? Going back to work on Monday, I walk about 3 miles a day in my job- wondering how I’ll manage at the moment.

@FuggyPidding

How are you?

I am getting headaches daily and the nights and mornings are the worst - as if somebody has pushed my head underwater.

I can't even muster up the energy to go into a shop - had to order the weekly shop online.

I'm much better thanks middleager
Still not 100% but getting there. It has been slow progress though.
My energy levels are definitely improving and apart from a slight runny nose, all other symptoms have gone so I think I'm coming out the other side now - thank the Lord!!

Sorry to hear you're still suffering. It's awful isn't it? Hopefully you'll start feeling much better soon too though. Take care.

I am sorry to hear so many have felt unwell!

Did anyone have breathlessness? I am on week 3 and still really struggling with breathlessness which then leads to me feeling very anxious. I am resting when I can but like some have mentioned I am very aware that I have not returned to work!

Day 15 for me and DH
Still absolutely exhausted. He still has a severe headache. Both of us breathlessness, cough and chest pain, my smell & taste are still off

Kind of comforting reading these posts realising this is fairly 'normal' but not looking forward to it taking so long to improve

Only 3 weeks ago I had done 4 8-10k walks in a week, now I'm tired going upstairs

At least my wine intake is down...

Hope you all keep improving Thanks

I stupidly expected to be "on the mend" around day 10.

I perked up considerably during the third week but rushing round, catching up and trying to get back to normal was too much for me and I spent about a fortnight after that just wanting to lie down, anywhere I was, on the floor right here would do.

And also wondering if my legs would actually get me all the way up the stairs.

Months later I'm still not back to full fitness and I'm fitting less into my day than I was, and getting (needing?) more sleep, but otherwise am fully functional.

I'm wary of overdoing it and going back to the dreadful exhaustion where I could've wept in despair and frustration every day if I'd had the energy.

So take it easy once you start to feel better and don't go mad like I did and try to do everything at once.
