Is the COVID cough a tickly one?

Feel absolutely fine aside from a slight tickle in my throat. Done LFT last two days and both negative.

Think I'm being hypersensitive but can anyone say whether the COVID cough is a tickly one?

I guess I should take a pcr in addition to the home tests? If double vaccinated do you still need to stay home while awaiting result?

LFTs are not meant to be used if you have symptoms. You need a pcr test. Sorry

Yeah my cough tickled, I still have it about 2 weeks after getting over covid. If you have symptoms you have to isolate until you get your result.

yes that was my first symptom, a slight, irritating tickly cough.

I had a slight thickly cough for a day when I had covid

Mine was, lasted a few days. DH has a horrible, phlegmy cough (sorry, but you asked!) and has had it for about a week now.

Ds has a chesty cough

That was my first symptom. It wasn't even a cough, just an itchy throat. If I could, I'd have scratched it! First lft was very faint, despite thorough swabbing of nose and throat and really squeezing the swab hard at the extraction phase.

Mine started as a tickly cough. My sister has a horrendous chesty cough. She got her positive result a week before me and still has the cough.

I mean if you've just coughed once or twice then I wouldn't worry but if it's continuous then I'd get a test. I often get a dry throat (due to health reasons) which makes my throat tickly and ill have a brief coughing spell which then goes away.
