Anyone caught covid twice and been double vaxxed?

I had covid the start of this year. Fit and healthy 29 year old no health conditions at all.

Left me bedbound until a few months ago. Messed up my immune system, liver, every single nerve and bone in my body was in agony. I was ‘ok’ when I had it. I had a bad stomach and very dizzy for 3 days so thought I got off lightly until a month later when all the other problems appeared.

Anyway I am absolutely scared to death to catch it again. I have had both vaccines but the fear is getting worse as time goes on. I honestly thought I was dying when I was suffering long covid and it has left me with liver disease. I dread to think what could happen if I caught it again.

I used to go to the gym 5/7 days. Ate a very healthy diet. No dairy lean meats veg etc. Never drink . Never had any illness really affect me before nor did I ever really catch anything from my partner or co workers if they got ill. This took me by surprise and has robbed the past year from me and god knows what else it has done to my body. I struggle to walk a few miles without being dizzy and sleeping now but I’m much better.

I just want to know if this has happened to anyone and if the second time round it was the same or worse? I have cancelled on so many occasions with my friends for party’s etc because the fear has taken over my whole life. I am an anxious wreck anywhere I go publicly now. X

I didn't want to read and run , but just like you one my friends 29yrs old daughter got Covid really bad their ended up in ICU very fit gym every day no health problems .. and my friend is now petrified of them getting it again plus she's not vaccinated.🤷🏻‍♀️. so hugs to you and know your not alone .. but don't put off going out and living your life .. leaving in fear is not the answer x

I had covid in March 2020. I was off work for 2 weeks and it was like flu. I slept most of the time.

Double jabbed, 2nd one in June. August I thought I had sinusitis but took a test and it was positive. Didn't feel any worse than a cold.

@Yondergoat that’s great that you were fine, but that’s not what the OP is asking for.
@Jays84 we are also dealing with life changing long covid and similar to you are worried about what happens if we get it again, and are not doing anything socially like pubs etc or groups of more than one family.

On the long covid groups there are people that have had it 2 or 3 times. Some actually got better after their second bout seemed to help their immune system clear it, others had set backs.

Keep doing whatever you need to do, you’ve done so well to get to this point.

I think it is! @Yondergoat OP is asking for people's experiences of having had covid twice and how they were?

Rainraingoaway21 · 02/10/2021 19:16

@FriendshipHelp sorry my comment was in response to your comment to Yondergoat!

I had Covid symptoms badly from March 2020 about 6 weeks in all. Didn’t feel energetic again til September last year.
Then double jabbed, horrendous headache through night after jab 1.
Then At the start of this month I started with another virus. I can only assume it was COVID because my bf had a positive test. All my tests were negative. Ended up in steroid tablets again like the first time.
Over now though and wasn’t as bad as the first bout.
