Taxi driver chat: Non surgical face masks & increased risk of pneumonia?

Just had a taxi driver give me a lecture on how "many many hospital folk" have told him that non-surgical face masks are causing lots of cases of lung issues - pneumonia etc
Apparently small particles & micro-plastics from the masks are inhaled and are now causing other respiratory illnesses. Also increased amounts of bacteria held/grown in the masks them selves then rebreathed in.

Is this taxi driver chat or has any one else heard of this?

Surgical are obviously better than a mask made out of your gran's old bloomers, but I'd say it's conspiracy theory bollocks rather than taxi driver chat.
