Hi,
If you've sent off a test in the post, how long has it taken for you to get a result? Thanks.

Would like to know too. Just sent one off. The booklet says "within 2 days"

InDubiousBattle · 29/09/2021 15:27

The last time I got one for my ds I requested the test on Tuesday, received and returned it on Wednesday and got the result in time for him to go to school on Friday.

Becca7910 · 29/09/2021 15:34

Thank you. Yes I noticed it said 2 days. I'm just so impatient. Sent ours off yesterday. Annoyingly I just got an email saying "don't forget to post your test". Doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. I did log them..I took the wrong photo for tracking I think though, which doesn't help!

I've done a home test twice and both times I had the result the next day. Hope you don't have to wait too long.

FlibbertyGiblets · 29/09/2021 15:37

Sent ours off Monday (for 4pm collection from a priority post box).
Email received this morning 10.13 am, negative.

Hope this helps!

Mindymomo · 29/09/2021 15:37

Make sure you log in and enter the barcode from the test. My son didn’t and so never got his result until he rang after 3 days. As soo as he put the barcode in, his negative result came through straight away.

Tellmewhat · 29/09/2021 15:38

Posted at 4pm, result by text next morning 8.30am.

MrsAvocet · 29/09/2021 15:39

I posted a test on Monday afternoon - the postbox collection time was 4pm - and I got the result at 5pm yesterday.

Hereforthedramaz · 29/09/2021 15:41

Posted mine on a Tuesday morning and got the emailed results on Wednesday mid afternoon.

That was NWP for reference

Becca7910 · 29/09/2021 15:49

Thanks everyone. Did anyone get an email reminding them to post their test, even though they have? I've just received 2 emails reminding me, even though I definitely posted them and logged them first. Thanks again.

Yes Becca we had one email yest reminding but stated to ignore if we had sent. Which we had.

Hereforthedramaz · 29/09/2021 16:03

No, no reminders at all but different providers might have different processes

whiteonesugar · 29/09/2021 16:11

Did one Monday, it was delivered 7.30pm and got result 7pm last night, so just under 24 hours. Also got an email asking me to do my postal test, after i got the result, its just automated i think.

MrsAvocet · 29/09/2021 16:19

Yes I got reminders. I think it's automated. It did say to ignore the reminder if you'd already done it.

YetAnotherWalk · 29/09/2021 16:30

We tested on Monday, posted it at 3PM - collection time stated as 5PM, got the result 10PM on Tuesday (last night).

Did get a reminder email yesterday after we had of course already returned it, but it says to disregard if already done, so I did.

Hope you get the result quickly.

Becca7910 · 29/09/2021 16:31

Thanks everyone. That's reassuring to know. Yes I noticed it said to ignore. Still, I'm over thinking everything. Patience is something I definitely lack. I'll carry on checking the emails.
