Just that. I know she doesn't want to go to school tomorrow (maths test) and she's just come down smirking and handed me this. The red smudgingis pretty suspicious. Should I keep her off anyway?

No idea on the test.
How old is child?
Do another one, with you doing it?

EmmaGrundyForPM · 28/09/2021 19:13

I thought the orange juice theory was disproved as an urban myth?

Just get her to do another one in front of you

CloseYourEyesAndSee · 28/09/2021 19:13

Get her to do one in front of you

exLtEveDallas · 28/09/2021 19:14

Do another test, “that one looks faulty, doesn’t it? Just want to make sure darling before the hassle of getting you a PCR”

Redhotchilis · 28/09/2021 19:14

Can't you do another one with her?

hellcatspangle · 28/09/2021 19:15

The smudging looks suspicious to me

MargaretThursday · 28/09/2021 19:15

I did have one that smudged like that that was negative.

I'd tell her that the smudging means it's invalid and ask her to do one in front of you. If you really want to rub it in, then you do one too (if you haven't done them before you can do it as her explaining how to do it)

Or if there's something in the next 10 days that she would want to do mention that you won't be able to do that and see her reaction.

AttaGirrrrl · 28/09/2021 19:16

Get her to do another one in front of you. Also book a PCR now.

privateinfo · 28/09/2021 19:17

I had one do that even though I followed instructions however given the maths situation I'd repeat it.

CherieBabySpliffUp · 28/09/2021 19:17

The C line looks strange, like the ink has bled. I would be doing another one in front of you.

ShaneTheThird · 28/09/2021 19:18

Definitely make her take another.

User5827372728 · 28/09/2021 19:19

Ask her to do another in front of you and explain the teacher will email you the test for her to do in exam conditions at home

QuarantineQueen · 28/09/2021 19:20

That's void. She'll have to do another (in front of you...)

Bettyboopsboop · 28/09/2021 19:28

I've has smudgy ones like like. The pad bit where you put the liquid doesn't look yellow/orange in the picture, does it in real life?

hedgehogger1 · 28/09/2021 19:50

I've done (what feels like) hundreds of the things and never seen one like that. Make her redo it

IveGotASongThatllGetOnYNerves · 28/09/2021 19:55

Yup, unwrap and do another in front of you and you hang onto it.

TolkiensFallow · 28/09/2021 20:02

Just do another one

gamerchick · 28/09/2021 20:04

As said, the obvious thing is to do another one. Give her the swab to use and you do the test.
