Hello, my youngest child ( 5) started with a continuous cough on Saturday, Sunday Morning he was still coughing and he had a temperature so decided to do a home test which came back clear, we decided was best do a PCR anyways, which put both me and partner into isolation due to us only having our 2nd vaccine on Saturday, We was both convince the results are going to be positive due to how poorly our boy was, I rang his school Monday morning letting them know we are currently waiting on results but expected them to be positive. I told them that I legally have to isolate until results come back, so I'm not able to send our daughter into school and I'm not willing to arrange someone else to take and collect her and potentially responsible spreading covid, so they let me keep her off. The test came back negative but he's continued to be poorly and still as a temp. I told the school that I still plan on keeping him off as he's obviously had a bad virus, this morning I woken him so he can come on school run with me to take my daughter to school but he's still really bad and as a temp, I rang the school to let them know that I'm not sending our daughter in as it's not fair on my boy to make him walk to school and back when he's so ill.
Do you think he could still have it even though home test and PCR are negative.
I'm aware that lots of bugs and virus are going around but he's never been this ill, he said to me on Sunday ( mummy I think I'm dying, I cannot walk). ðŸ˜
I've always been COVID paranoid, the thought of passing it onto others scare me.
