Does anyone know? I have heard no word from DC's school.

Have no idea.

I have just filled in the consent forms for both flu and covid.

DanglingMod · 29/09/2021 06:15

They'll definitely all have had Covid by then Grin

GoodnightGrandma · 29/09/2021 06:29

[quote MushMonster]I am a bit confused now. In gov.uk they state you should wait one week to have the covid vaccine after having the flu one. Is that out of date advice?
I will try to link

Yes, it’s old advice. No need to give any time now except for the shingles vaccination.

GoodnightGrandma · 29/09/2021 06:31

In my area the school vaccinations aren’t being given by the school vaccination teams, it’s the GP groups (CCG) that’s giving them.

OxAl82 · 29/09/2021 06:42

My 13 year old twins had theirs yesterday. Covid injection and nasal flu spray.

Dinnertime22 · 29/09/2021 06:45

All done. It was a low uptake apparently, so I may come back?

Dinnertime22 · 29/09/2021 06:45

It maybe back. Not me, that would be a terrible idea.

TravellingWanabee · 29/09/2021 12:11

Is everyone's child getting it through the school? I've just had an appointment request through the GP surgery for my 12 year old, no mention of anything from the school...

Also, can I ask those who have had it, were there any side effects etc for the kids? My DD isn't keen (she isn't keen on vaccinations full stop due to the needle, it's not covid per se she objects to), and we are on the fence but leaning slightly to having it.

MushMonster · 29/09/2021 17:00

In our case, it is via the NHS, at a vaccination centre.
The flu, though is via the school, so not coordinated

Watsername · 29/09/2021 21:27

DS had a sore arm, but that’s it

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2021 19:43

My daughter was jabbed today [14]

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2021 19:45

I didn't realise they would vaccinate my ds [13] until I got there as it was a drop in. My daughter had a letter.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2021 19:45

There were absolutely loads of teenagers getting done today.
neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2021 19:46

Ours were not at school. At a make shift clinic.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 30/09/2021 19:49

Consented for flu spray, no consent for covid (over my dead body)

Shieldingending · 30/09/2021 19:58

Mine had covid injection last week. Sore arm afterwards, no other side effects
