I've booked DD aPCR for tomorrow following a positive LFT today (she had headache and sore throat). I can see on the gov website that if someone in your household has tested positive you can also book a PCR, but it doesn't say whether that is a positive LFT or PCR. Do I have to wait until we have a positive PCR before I can book one for myself? Also, is there a possibility that the LTF is wrong? I am confused.

Should also add that I've been double vaxed and had a negative LFT tonight. Thanks

The kids had positive lfts this week, I booked us all PCR tests. My LFT was negative but the PCR was positive so now we’re all isolating.

I would just book one.

Also double vaccinated, without the tests I’d have assumed a bad cold.

Ok, thanks, I think I'll book one to be on the safe side.
