DH currently out with DS taking him for a COVID test. He feels under the weather and has a sore throat, feels tired and hot and can't smell anything. No cough

Hopefully the results will be back tomorrow but I doubt they'll be before school. I understand to keep him off but how does this affect his attendance? As it's COVID related is it recorded as an absence? It isn't at work so I was just wondering

Thanks

Last year the government told schools not to report on pupils attendance in the end of year reports. I imagine it will be counted towards his total % but unless you are about to prosecuted AND didn’t have evidence of the test then it won’t be an issue.

I have no idea.
Not worrying about attendance for the time being, it's going to be lower than usual.
