First Symptoms

Just that really, what were your first symptoms , I have a sore throat, nothing else , LFT daily , sure it’s a mild cold coming but just asking .

That was my first symptom last Thursday. Tested positive on PCR on Friday. Still negative on LFT.

I've felt rubbish for days

Oh balls, I have very very mild cold symptoms - slightly burning throat and sinuses, the odd sneeze, cold-type headache - and felt rubbish yesterday, better today. LFT negative, no temperature or skin pain/body aches which was how it started when I had it first time around, when I was really ill with it.

Does that mean the negative LFT means nothing?

My DH and DS both had positive LFTs. Mine was negative. PCR confirmed for both. T&T said I had to have PCR despite 5 negative LFTs (I know I shouldn't have done so many but was panicking ).

PCR came back positive yesterday. Did one more LFT as a matter of interest. Still negative. I have a sore throat and am tired but I have a 2 year old, I am always tired. My back has started aching today, almost like starting with flu

I've felt rubbish for days

Same here - started with a bit of a sore throat a few days ago and now more cold like (but I've had worse actual colds)

Headache that painkillers wouldn’t shift, and I rarely get headaches. Then lost sense of smell. They were my only two symptoms for around 5-6 days.

Also same as pp with multiple negative LFTs - even after positive PCR

Tickly cough and cold symptoms here. Achy too.

I felt a bit yuk. Can't describe it really, but then I got a strange taste in my mouth, tested positive. Woke up feeling like I'd been run over the day after.

Mine is definitely worse than a cold. It started like a cold but very quickly progressed to hot and cold, achy joints, inability to concentrate, intense tiredness, lack of appetite. I honestly can't remember the last time I felt that ill (to be fair, I'm generally pretty healthy).

Sore throat, sneezing, runny nose. I thought it was a cold, I didn't get any of the three main symptoms until about 4 days in, at this point I'd tested positive on a lateral flow and had my positive PCR results through.

Me: headache and so tired.
DS: sore throat and head ache
DH: nothing. Now he seems to have a cold.

All tested positive on PCR: DS didn’t get a positive LFT, DH and I did.

Had a bit of a headache and sore throat on Sunday. Lft was negative. Thought I was getting a cold. Wed lft was negative. Thursday evening felt off. Congested, headache, body aches. This morning felt too I'll to go to work so called in sick. Did an lft and it was positive. Did two more at different times in day and all positive. Went for a PCR earlier and waiting for results. But think I have it. Everyone else in family did lft and theirs all negative. Today I have cold like symptoms, body aches, feeling of weakness and what feels like an upset stomach. Foggy head too

Ds has Covid. Started with sore back, aching muscles, night sweats.

Mine started with a sore throat and a tickly cough it's then developed into a fever and chills and achy muscles and then a running nose and a hacking cough. Feels more like flu than a cold. Bloody awful

I tested positive on Sunday, my only symptom was a scratchy throat..

Mild sore throat and sniffes on day 1-2. Thought I had a cold. Evening of day 2 very very tired. Been in bed since. Day 3 - horrible headaches and chills / fever, slightly snotty nose and tired, occasion cough due to snot . Taste has gone. Worse than a cold but not as bad as flu. Double vaxxd in March/May.

My very first symptom was a bad headache.

Then fever, sweating and fatigue and other cold like symptoms.

Sneezing and blocked nose. I tested positive before I developed any symptoms at all.

I felt tired, achy and sick one evening. Took myself to bed thinking I had food poisoning or something. Slept, but woke up the next morning feeling feverish and so drained I could barely get out of bed to go to the loo. That lasted a day, then I felt quite a lot better energy-wise but started with more traditional cold-y symptoms, plus loss of smell and subsequently taste. From that point on that was it for me, it was like a bad, but very weird, cold.

Just wanted to say I hope we all feel better soon. Day 5 here, after 48 hours in bed, starting to feel
normal again although lightheaded. Take it easy everyone. X
