I tested positive few days ago- I gradually lost the sense of smell and taste.
When did your sense of smell and taste come back?

My sense of smell disappeared completely, I couldn't smell even really strong smells, but it only lasted 24 hours

About a week.

Three weeks and counting

Lost my sense of smell March 2020 and still has not returned.

About a week for me.

About a month for me.

18 months and counting

I can smell but my sense of taste is messed up. About 4 weeks now.

Now I'm starting to get scared...😲

Six weeks now and it's almost back, about 80%.

I've just got my smell back this week, taste came back a bit sooner but I'm really pleased about it. I tested positive on the 27th August and lost taste and smell about a day later.

I posted about this a few months ago. Both my taste and smell disappeared completely, lasted about 3/4 weeks. Came back gradually.

My smell was lost for about 3/4 days on day 4, taste also affected. Both now on way back, I am on day 9 of my infection and hopefully on the mend

Sense of smell vanished overnight. Could taste sweet/salty/bitter.
Started to come back after a week (just a whiff of perfume). Now at 11 days - it's coming back a little more each day.

Friend who had it before vaccine at beginning of the year still isn't quite right.

Came back in terms of it existing about six weeks after infection. Another 14 months before the changes of taste and smell got back to a bearable level. Eg meat tasting of petrol, onion/garlic tasting disgusting, my own sweat smelling absolutely awful. Even now I struggle with some meat, egg yolk and raw onion.

Positive on the 23rd August - taste still not right, but getting there. Smell not back, but I do pick up an occasional sniff now and then. Can safely stick my nose in a jar of mustard without retching!
