My son (15) had his results today and it was inconclusive so he has been for another one. Anyone had this? I'm convinced he has covid but only tested on day 5 (he had been home poorly so no mixing)

We had one. It was really frustrating because the replacement test had a part missing so we couldn’t use that either. We’re stuck with postal tests because there’s no walk-in centre, so it’s been a massive delay.

It’s sometimes inconclusive because it hasn’t been done properly so not enough sample to test.

Ds2s who's 18s test was inconclusive, he felt he wasn't able to do it properly because he was so ill.

It was a home test and the result came back 4 days before his isolation was due to end so he didn't bother doing another one. He was too ill to go anywhere until 3 or 4 days after his isolation ended anyway
