Anybody else not sure about school tomorrow?

So ds1, 14, had Covid during Summer hols. Under the current relaxed restrictions, a school friend went to school whilst Dad had Covid. Five friends got Covid, ds1 now contacted by track & trace to self isolate.

Dd (12), has headache and sore throat.

Ds2 (6) has temp 37.9, and sniffles.

I was at work all eve, but DH did LFTs, all negative. I did one at work negative.

So no idea what to do about school tomorrow. My personal feeling is keep them all off until we’re sure none of them have Covid. Current guidance says they can all go in. Seems bonkers to me.

Your ds2 needs a PCR due to the temperature and should isolate until the result is back,

I thought if you were a clise contact you dont need to isolate if you do a negative test? Although it seems like madness. The only problem is that the LFT is supposed to be used IF YOU DO NOT DISPLAY SYMPTOMS otherwise it can give you a false negative, if you are saying there are symptoms then you need to do a PCR test and i have no idea whether you have to isolate for the 72 hour turnaround or not, its all very confusing now!
