Recovery covid pneumonia (double jabbed)

Good morning

Despite being double jabbed I ended up on the covid ward of our hospital on Friday with covid pneumonia and I’m being let home today. Been on oxygen, still on two lots of antibiotics, dexamethasone and blood clot prevention meds. Had a pretty rough time. However the coughing attacks are still really really prevalent. They happen every time I move and last minutes. I have to then sit quietly and wait to catch my breath. The consultants can’t tell how long this will continue but it’s a very common post covid pneumonia symptom. Please has anything be been through this? Do you have any tips on how to lessen the attacks / calm everything down? Really grateful for any insights. Thank you

Flowers i hope you begin to feel much better soon. I found this video really helpful and it's lovely that the physiotherapist has teemed up with his daughter. My husband patted me firmly on the back when I was on my knees frequently to help get the mucus up! It is normal for the body to take quite a while to recover, but it will heal. Take good care of yourself. Here's the videom.youtube.com/watch?v=DBuPbYjPpao

Laying down but with a few pillows lifting head helped. And when my chest felt particularly bad my partner rubbed my chest which really helped.
Going from 1 room that was a slight different temp to the next really set me off. Couldn't have a hot bath then get out, my body actually went into shock, I was sick too and couldn't stop shaking xx

I have had pneumonia from normal (non covid) chest infections.
One time it was more painful than childbirth.
Prop yourself up in bed/sofa. Take it very easy.
Does steam help? It does for me, so warm steamy baths.
Keep track of your meds on paper, with times, so you don't lose track.
Rest.
