After the elderly and vulnerable? Or are we not getting any booster?

I think under 50s aren’t for now unless CEV or CZ.

Mindymomo · 21/09/2021 09:08

I expect that once this phase have been given the booster, it will be offered to the next age range in the New Year.

Many under 50s will still have much protection due to having had their jabs later.

We had our 2nds mid July so not even X2 months of full protection yet.

My husband has been offered a 3rd dose, he's having it tomorrow. Age 36, healthy, works in a hospital. His 1st dose was in December, 2nd dose January so we're pleased he's been offered it.

Not sure if it's planned for everyone or just CEV/CV etc - I hope everyone in the same order as before given it clearly seems needed

I'll get one if/when eligible

I'm hoping at some point to be able to pay for yearly ones, like with the flu vaccine

takemetocedarpoint · 21/09/2021 11:38

I think it might depend what happens with cases maybe? But I certainly hope I will be offered a booster at some point. Having said that, if it costs the same as a flu jab I'd happily pay for it each year. I had my second jab in June so the 6 months will be up in December. However, I'm in a booster trial so if the jab I've had turns out to be effective, I guess I should be quite well protected until March anyway.

Am NHS so have my booster and flu jab booked for Sunday

TheGrumpyGoat · 21/09/2021 11:45

I’m in my 30’s and fully vaccinated but would rather not have a booster. Especially while there are so many vulnerable people around the world who haven’t been vaccinated at all.
I see the sense in the elderly and vulnerable being offered boosters, but not the rest of us.
