Hi
I have had a positive PCR result. Been fearful of catching Covid since the start of the pandemic and finally here I am with covid! Currently have a very bad headache and no energy at all!

I am late 40s, no known underlying conditions and double jabbed so should be ok. However, I am feeling anxious, really scared that I am going to get seriously ill. I can’t help my mind going there.

Please talk me down!

I know quite a few people who have had covid some jabbed, some not, some with health issues. Majority of them had flu like symptoms and that was it, some said they felt like they'd been hit by a bus for a couple of days and some no symtpoms at all but none of them were seriously ill. They all recovered well. The best thing is you have been jabbed, you have no health issues and sound like you have mild symtoms. Just get plenty of rest, watch some films, plenty of fluids and just relax! Take care.

I recently had Covid and, like you, had dreaded it. Couldn’t believe I finally had it. I also had a headache and cold symptoms. Was also double vaccinated. It really wasn’t the illest I’ve ever felt. Was pretty normal within 5-6 days. My daughter also had it. Now kids at school are dropping line flies I’m quite glad we’ve got it over with.

I’ve got Covid too and I’ve been double jabbed. Sitting here eating sweets and watching Silent Witness. (I mean if you can’t stuff your face at a time like this, when can you?)No headache or fever, but have mild flu like symptoms, aches etc and the occasional cough. I’m more pissed off that I have to sit this out for 10 days(missing out on events this weekend) than worried about it. Think positively and do whatever you can to take your mind off things.
