All unvaccinated (children), it's pretty likely it's going to be passed on to all isn't it?

My kids are fit and well, but I've started a new job, I was so hoping I could at least get to winter before having to take time off!

Exposed on Thursday, when would symptoms or positive test show (if it has spread)?

Not necessarily.
Timings vary, was 2 days for my son, but longer for others Test & Trace said. Think average is 5 days?

TintinIsBack · 19/09/2021 21:10

Depends if the Windows were open etc…

If you know for sure one of the person is positiv, you are supposed to do a PCR test (if double jabbed) anyway.
But symptoms/positif test usually appear within 5 days

Fireplace12 · 19/09/2021 21:11

Not necessarily. You can live in the same household with someone who has covid and not catch it.

TintinIsBack · 19/09/2021 21:11

My dcs have done daily LFT for about 7~10 days for peace of mind.

How old are the dcs?

Autumngoldleaf · 19/09/2021 21:12

Op by dd has had it, we couldn't really isolate her or from her and she finished last week. We are clear so far

underneaththeash · 19/09/2021 21:16

I think it's likely. I'd expect symptoms Tuesday-Thursday. Maybe do a PCRT then if they haven't any.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 19/09/2021 21:18

No it's not a given. I did a 40 min round trip to a test centre with 2 people who turned out positive. I wasn't, and didn't catch it from the journey or sharing a living space (single vac at the time).

I had covid in November. Here is my timeline: Sunday morning drive to shops with DD, literally shared a drink using same straw in cafe, spent around an hour in car next to each other. Sunday afternoon, picked son up from his girlfriend's, spent around 50 mins next to each other in car. Monday morning woke up with cough and no sense of smell and felt awful: got PCR test that morning, result came through that night as positive. Dd and Ds both tested negative the next day.

CurlyWurly321 · 19/09/2021 22:17

Oh that's interesting!
So not a given at all then.

My DC is 2, and still breastfed. I wonder if I can pass antibodies on if I'm vaccinated?

The child with covid is primary school age.

No idea if the windows were open though.

DD was out with three friends all day. Train into town. Shopping. 90 minutes in Nandos. Back to one of the friend's houses, Netflix.

One friend tested positive, the other three were negative.

Ds was in a car for a total of 4 hours over the 2 days before someone showed symptoms. He didn't get it.
