No mechanism for long term issues

I have a 12 and a 14 year old. Both have SEN, so need support to make a decision on whether to have the vaccine. In practice, they’ll be led by what I say.

My concern about the vaccine for this age range is benefit vs risk of long term health issues. I have read that there is no mechanism by which this vaccine can cause the latter.

Can anyone help me/point me in the direction of info to learn more about this? I feel uncomfortable blindly following this statement knowing nothing about why it’s so, in even basic terms and Googling seems to return only information that’s pitched at a pretty complex level.
