Late LFT

My DD (junior age) and I did a LFT this morning about 830. Forgot about them. Just checked them and hers has a very faint line.

Girls with their father who is anti vac covid conspiracy wanker. He won’t bring her back as it’s a load of bollocks apparently. He’s in a very public place with them.

She has very mild symptoms. No fever. Bit snotty maybe. Not quite herself.

I understand shouldn’t look at them after 30 mins…. But…. I do a lot because I’m interested in what they look like. And I’ve never seen a line at all before even after many hours. 😬

AIBU?

You shouldn’t look after them after 30’mins. When did you look? My dd and ds when’did them had an almost all or nothing response when in the throes of covid.

Why bother doing it at 08:30 if you were going to let them go out without checking the results?

If she had symptoms you should've done a PCR and not let her out until you got the results so he's only doing what you've already done.

Are they somewhere that she'll be in close proximity with people for prolonged periods of time?

She doesn’t have any of the 3 symptoms required to test. She’s a under the weather. That’s it.

Isn't a runny/snotty nose one of the new symptoms people are now supposed to test for
JanglyBeads · 18/09/2021 13:28

I’ve heard of a few people who’ve had a faint line pasty he 30 mins and have gone on to test pos on PCR.

However I suspect you can’t control what happens until your ex brings the girls back (when is this due?). I mean, text him and tell him she probably has COVID and this means she should be isolating - then you’ve done all you can.

JanglyBeads · 18/09/2021 13:28

@HalzTangz unfortunately not according to the NHS website!

damnthisvirusandmarriage · 18/09/2021 13:46

Yes I have no control over her returning sadly.

She’s due back tomorrow. Have called him to tell him so he knows.

There is nothing you can do.
You have told ex. Just test her when she returns.

superstar84 · 18/09/2021 15:43

I'd book a pcr for tomorrow just to be sure
