I got a positive test last Friday. I’ve been really lucky and had mild symptoms. However I’m now eight days in and still feeling utterly wiped out and exhausted, still coughing, still no sense of taste/smell. Can anyone advise when they felt “normal” again after a mild case? Thanks!

I’m three weeks in and still coughing and exhausted!

Had one lot of antibiotics and waiting for a second as I’ve developed a chest infection.

Utterly fed up now

I had a practically symptom free couple of weeks after my positive test, just a few aches, no cough or loss of smell / taste, but then bone-crushing exhaustion hit and it’s only this week I’ve started to feel like myself again - that’s nine weeks after my positive. I still don’t have the energy to exercise - I was very fit and a couple of weeks off running a half marathon.

I had a mild case and the worst was over within 2 weeks but I felt crap for months. Even 14 months on, part of me thinks I don't feel as good as I did before I got it.

I felt back to normal after 8 days, aside from the loss of smell and taste which still isn't completely back after 5 weeks.

I still get tired more quickly and get more breathless in exertion- and it's 11 months in. I'm part of a research thing initially via my hospital, where I complete questionnaire and do tests every so often regarding long covid.
