Letter from GP yesterday inviting 15 yo DS for Covid vaccine, anyone else had GP invite?

We’ve provisionally booked it for the end of September, although we are going to discuss further but he seems fine with it.

Anyone else’s dc had an invite yet?

I would have thought it would be a whole school invite but in our case seems not.

I’m immunosuppressed and was on the CEV list (I’m back at work and fully vaccinated now) so could this be why? Ds does have asthma but I’m doubting this is the reason?

I just got a call and invited to book. Ds (12) had his a couple of weeks ago.

I didn't really understand why he'd been invited at the time but it seems learning difficulties was one of the criteria and ds had autism. In the very broad discription of LD on the NHS website, autism might fall under it.

Not an invite, but a message this afternoon from DD’s school that it is coming very soon. It’s a boarding school, so I assume they will do as many as they can at each visit.

He’s been invited by the GP because of your condition. Healthy children will be done mainly in schools with mop up in Gp clinics for any who missed it.
