He is still coughing. Would you still socially distance from him? My younger girls tested positive last night. We asked test and trace if my son can mix with the girls considering he has just had it but they advised against it. Has anyone had covid and got reinfected really quick?

The cough is dealt with clearly on the nhs site… if that’s his only symptom he doesn’t need to isolate or distance. He might have it for a while.

Coughs can linger for weeks. Doesn't mean he's still contagious so isolation could end and if your other children have now tested positive, I wouldn't worry too much about social distancing them if he's had it and over it (apart from cough of course)

Coughs can linger for weeks. He will not catch Covid again this soon otherwise it would be a never ending cycle in the household! I wouldn't ever social distance from my child anyway. You're being way OTT.
