Do covid absences get marked differently?

DD is off awaiting covid results at the moment. We don't drive so every time she is unwell we have to send off for a pcr then post it back. This whole process usually takes three or four days. She seems to pick every bug up that is going. Will these absences get me in trouble with the school? Are they still counted differently with a special code?

Personally, my feeling is that if anyone even dares to question me on my children's absences post March 2020 then they will regret having done so.
HTH.

I realise that's not answering your question but I really wouldn't worry about it too much.

TottieMarchpane · 15/09/2021 16:53

Yes, they are marked differently, with an 'X' code.

RavenT · 15/09/2021 16:54

Totally what Janine said Smile

LadySilence · 15/09/2021 16:55

Yes, x code doesn't affect attendance at all

OliveTree75 · 15/09/2021 18:21

Yes they are marked separately on my register
