Vaccination after surgery

Does anybody have experience of or any suggestions of useful articles from medical professionals on having the vaccine after surgery?

I delivered baby via c section last week and am keen to get vaccinated ASAP however unsure if I can go ahead and do this or whether there's a need to wait a certain amount of time after major surgery before I should get it. I.e 2 weeks to ensure no post surgery complications, 10 days until I've finished blood thinning injections etc

I asked my midwife who was unsure and a few other workers at the hospital who also weren't l clear and couldn't advise

Would be interested to hear other peoples experiences and what they were advised

I would think wait until you’ve finished the blood thinning injections, as they ask when you go if you are on them. My DH takes asprin every day, but they were not bothered. If there is a walk in near you, it wouldn’t hurt to go and have a chat with them.
