Will special needs teachers be classed as social and health care workers for boosters like last time?

Not all were last time. I work in a special school and we weren't given priority. It depended on the LA I think.

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 14/09/2021 19:43

They weren't where I work.

Nursery staff weren't, nor were reception teachers. Just as filled with 1-1 contact.

Won't it depend on when they had their first two jabs? Assuming most didn't have the second till May or later, they shouldn't need one yet. If it was earlier then I would have thought so?

Doubt it unfortunately yet our speech and language therapists and occupational therapists will all get it as health care staff

Smurf123 · 14/09/2021 20:48

But then we weren't offered it last time either

My LA classes special school staff under health and social care, so we all most had second jabs by early/ mid April. Too early to know if we are eligible for boosters, I'm over 50 so will anyway. This is also the first year flu jab vouchers have been made available for all the staff.

I never got one last time, I have children climbing all over me and really want the booster.
