A relative has just sent me these pictures. Has anyone had one like these would you class them as invalid? She's taken another lft and it's come up negative and booking a pcr to be on the safe side too. Can't seem to find any on the Internet like that either.

That test looks ok.

Nothing wrong with those tests.

dementedpixie · 13/09/2021 17:02

The colour has run
I've seen a few like that on posts on here

JanglyBeads · 13/09/2021 17:04

No problem with those

An invalid test is one where the control line doesn’t appear. I’d say that’s just a negative but good to have taken another to ensure

Miracle29 · 13/09/2021 17:07

Would you class them as negative then? She said these are new lft not the ones where you swab nose and throat it's just the nose ones.

That looks like a valid test with a negative result - but the lines can be too faint to see in a picture, so if the person with the actual test infront of them thinks there is a defined horizontal line at the T point, class it as positive.
The new style ones do seem to colour run a lot (I've done about 1000 of the old ones, and 500 of the new ones...)

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/09/2021 17:13

It's just a negative test. If it was invalid the control line wouldn't be appear- I had a whole box of them!

annlee3817 · 13/09/2021 22:15

With the new ones you only need to put four drops on, they do seem to run easily, but I think some people may out the whole vial of liquid on which makes it run further 🤔 just a thought. I'd say that's negative though
