My 2 children have both tested positive and myself and husband are negative. We have done lateral flows every morning and PCR on Friday. I don't feel 100%, a bit of a headache and just a bit bleurgh which could may be from being indoors, I'm not sure but my question is could this be the vaccine fighting off the virus so you only get the very start of symptoms but they never develop fully into the virus if that makes sense?

Hi my ds is positive since Tuesday. Dd2
Had snotty cold but all our PCRs were negative as are LFTs till yesterday. My DH and
I both keep saying we feel a bit off but wondering if this is psychological. Sadly it’s the waiting game. We are both double vaxxed but ds needs to self isolate till next Thursday. He is 13 and been up and down. I’m hoping he feels
A bit better today. His LFT only went positive on the day we had it confirmed via PCR and
Only gives an indication of viral load and how infectious you could be at time of testing

Could be so mild that it’s not being picked up on PCR, or possibly that you’ve tested too early, or like you say, just feeling a bit off. Also, lastly, you may have really good immunity, either naturally or through vaccine. I know lots of families where not everyone caught it, despite living closely.
