Is this to do with Covid or something separate?

I had covid at the beginning of last month. Was really ill with it, in hospital etc. Still have cough/breathlessness and bad fatigue but just glad to be able to breath properly again and I am building up my lung capacity again slowly.

I was in hospital for something unrelated 2 weeks ago and came home with a really sore throat. I've had 2 weeks of what I can only describe as a throat like the sahara, no matter what I do it feels dry and scratchy. I drink and drink and drink and it takes the feeling away momentarily and then its back......this sensation that I haven't had a drink in days. Its uncomfortable when I swallow and it doesn't seem to be improving even after 2 weeks.
I just wondered if anyone had experienced this as an ongoing covid symptom or if it is something else that might need to be treated separately.

Flowers This sounds rubbish!

I would contact my GP about this separately, as it could be either. This NHS page says see your GP if your sore throat does not go away in a week, or if you are worried about a sore throat - both of these apply to you: www.nhs.uk/conditions/sore-throat/

thanks. I will speak with GP. Just didn't know if I was over reacting.
