Have you tested positive after Pfizer?

My partner has tested positive on a lat flow test yesterday and they had AZ, but my test come back completely clear and I had pfizer (same as my daughter)

We've gone for PCR tests which are also negative but my partners is positive, and after reading a few threads on here it seems to be more people who've been vaccinated with AZ to suffer with symptoms.

Can anyone who's had both doses of Pfizer tell me how they got on it with symptoms after testing positive cause I think that may be me in a few days!

I had Pfizer early (nurse), daughter 17 (was awaiting vaccination ) and husband (Astra z ) tested positive first . Thought I would escape it till 4 days later I was positive ( initial pcr -ve) Felt rotten, aches, nausea but eased after 24-48 hrs. Felt fine by end of isolation. Youngest twoDS 11 and 14 -ve all the way !?!?

Double vaccinated with Pfizer and have been pretty ill. High temperature, shivering, awful headache, sneezing, runny nose alternating with blocked, lightheaded, cough (which didn’t come til later) really bad sinus pain. At first it felt like a really bad cold or flu. I’m now on day 5/6 and still have a slightly raised temperature, rib and back pain (maybe from all the coughing?) and still feel lightheaded if I do too much.

I think I’ve been unlucky to feel so rubbish but lucky that it’s not been worse if that makes sense.

Hope you are not affected too badly.

I have exactly the same symptoms. Were you vaccinated early? I had my first in December as I'm social care staff.

I had Pfizer, got covid a few weeks ago, but didn't pass it to anyone at work or the 4 people I live with!
I've had worse colds too.

Seagullsstopit · 10/09/2021 11:31

Oh, I had my vaccinations in January too

GracieLouFreebushh · 10/09/2021 11:53

DH has had both Pfizer jabs and developed covid - headaches, brief spike in temp and aches. I had Astra Zeneca and DS unvaccinated - neither of us caught it.

Double vaccinated with AZ here , tested positive last Saturday and feel dreadful .

hopingforabrighterfuture2021 · 10/09/2021 13:58

@SandandFog no, vaccinations May and July! Hope you feel better soon.

Lushmetender · 10/09/2021 15:34

My husbands boss had Pfizer and got covid twice. Worse second time around. In his mid 50s and has autoimmune problems. My son has covid just now. We had negative PCRs and double vaxxed with AZ but still concerned we’ll catch it! I really think it depends on any underlying conditions for the most part if you get really ill.

I had pfizer too, double vaxed. Tested positive this week, felt horrible for first two days, went down fast but getting steadily better every day.
Day 5 and I'm tired/dizzy total loss of smell and taste which is MISERABLE.

LittleMachine · 11/09/2021 16:02

I'm double vaccinated with Pfizer and tested positive yesterday. My symptoms are - headache, extreme tiredness, temperature, loss of smell and taste, sinus pain and flu like symptoms. Feeling pretty rough.
