ZOE app, antibody test

I've had an email from the Zoe people saying I haven't yet sent me antibody results to them. That's because they've never offered me an antibody test (I've searched my in box, junk etc etc). Has this happened to anyone else, do you know how I can contact them to tell them/ask for one? There doesn't seem to be anything obvious in the app.

I had the same thing yesterday - I wonder if someone pressed the wrong button? I did actually do an antibody test a while back (following a thread on here) and reported the result to Zoe.

Wincher · 08/09/2021 10:47

If you want to do one you can order one online, I think same link as booking a PCR, and put down that Zoe has asked you to do it, and you’ll get a test kit via the post!

CloudPop · 08/09/2021 10:47

I've got the kit but haven't done it yet as I'm so daunted by how much blood they want from a finger prick!

PurpleDaisies · 08/09/2021 10:48

I’ve registered for one but never received a kit too.

Cookerhood · 08/09/2021 10:54

OK thanks, looks like a glitch in the system.
I was imagining some person behind the Zoe app saying "tut, tut, Cookerhood is so ungrateful, we offer her a test & she doesn't respond, that's her off our Christmas card list". Grin
I might order one anyway as they seem to think they've offered me one, althoguh not sure how I would report it to them? is there something on the app?

I was too, got one just before we went on holiday a few weeks ago but just did it this morning as was hesitant and was totally fine.

I’ve done finger prick tests before for other things and struggled to get enough blood and then couldn’t get results as I’d squeezed my finger too much which meant blood was not suitable.

This one was fine, the difference I think was they tell you to put your hand in a bowl of hot water first (bath water temperature). Filled vial up very quickly without massaging finger at all, I was really surprised!

poppym12 · 08/09/2021 10:59

I got the same email so I logged in to request one to be met with 'you can't have one because you're not at work'.

bestbefore · 08/09/2021 11:04

There's subheadings when you report a test and PCR and Anti Body are now listed separately so you can log each type of test you've done - it defaults to lateral flow

Cookerhood · 08/09/2021 11:19

Thanks all, I'll order one.

I got the email and thought I'd given my antibody result last month - must be a glitch!

Roadtripconcept · 08/09/2021 12:31

I had the same email. I have done the test and logged the result .

emmathedilemma · 08/09/2021 12:45

I got that email too and assumed I was going mad as i didn't recall an invite for a test and I went back through my deleted emails and couldn't find anything.

Phlebotomists often struggle to get enough blood out of me but I had no trouble getting enough blood. Just follow the instructions - hydrate, exercise, hand in hot water and you'll be fine.
jay55 · 08/09/2021 13:07

Had the same message. I've also had a letter about taking one for the react study and thought it was for that but the kit hasn't come yet.

CloudPop · 08/09/2021 15:00

Thanks @QueenStromba and @AbstractEim

KylieKoKo · 08/09/2021 21:47

I got the same message but when I searched I had had an invitation. I'd just missed it.

flumposie · 08/09/2021 23:12

Also got the email and was confused.
