Do I need a PCR test?

I have woken with a really bad sore throat, felt rubbish yesterday really tired. My temp is 37.5. Done a lft which is reading negative, do I need to isolate and do a PCR test?

I would but you'll probably be told as your symptoms aren't the very outdated 'main 3' then you don't.

One of the main 3 symptoms is a raised temperature (actual temp is no-longer specified) so yes you need to isolate an take a PCR test.

37.5 isn't necessarily a fever. It depends what your normal is. My sons temperature is always that at a normal time! Do you feel feverish??

If it was me, I would test. The results are coming back so quick now. Then you know for sure.

Yes, our LFT were negative. Pcr tests positive.
