Sore arm after vaccine

I had my 2nd Pfizer vaccine on Friday.
I’ve been fine after it but my arm where I had the jab is still quite warm to touch and a bit swollen. I still can’t lie on that side or lean on that park of my arm (against a wall or similar, I can rest my head on my hand and move the arm fine). It’s otherwise fine, no rash and there’s a tiny pinprick mark where I had the vaccine but it’s not getting bigger, I’d say it’s smaller than when I had it.

I feel absolutely fine in myself, eating and drinking normally, no nausea or headaches, or any odd symptoms.

Is this normal 4 days after the vaccine? When I had my 1st vaccine my arm was fine within 48 hours and the same when I have my flu vaccine, everything normal within a few days.

I think it’s pretty normal - my mum had a dead arm for weeks after her second Pfizer.

I think so. I had AZ, but it definitely hurt about a week.

You must have got the leaflet when you got vaccinated explaining what you need to look out for. I really don't think sore arm is not something you need to worry about.

Completely normal for nearly every IM vaccine. Had the same after ones at school, and with the flu jab, and everything in between. Cold compress and keeping it moving should help.

I had Moderna rather than Pfizer, but also had a sore arm after each vaccine. After the first dose my arm felt bruised for just over a week. After the second dose it went very hot and felt sort of sunburned/swollen for about 3 days. Totally different reactions from the same vaccine Confused

I had AZ. My arm was very sore for a few days and then continued to be very sore when touched for about 10 days after the jab. For the first week the pain was enough to wake me if I moved onto it in my sleep. Second dose was fine.

My arm was agony for days after both my jabs.

For 20 years, I kept up all the usual vaccinations required for being a Forces child. Which meant being jabbed every 3 years for half a dozen diseases.
A sore arm for a few days is a perfectly normal reaction, and a bit of swelling.

Thank you it was the warmth that worried me more than anything but if it's still like it next week then I'll start being worried
