My partner has had a positive lateral flow today, been to a test site for PCR and should have results in 24 hours. Obviously having to isolate for 10 days unless PCR comes back negative, I’m not fully vaccinated so have to isolate too. In regards to my children, I had to bring them home today because although law states they don’t have to isolate (all under 18) me nor partner can take them/collect them. Eldest (8) has just had school friends calling at the window asking if she can play out, can she?? As I feel awful for her already but surely if her dad does have it, she could possibly carry it and infect friends? Sorry I’m rambling and thank you for any responses.

You know the answer to this, don't you?

They ^may play out, but whether they should^ is another matter entirely.

The law allows this, but you can use some common sense. Also, what happens if she has an accident whilst out? Have you anybody that can bring her back to your house, or look after her, or will you have to break isolation to do so yourself?

Yes I do. Actually just after posting this I thought if this was another family’s situation and I saw a child of theirs out, I’d be pretty pee’d off. Here’s to hoping for a negative pcr!
