After your first Pfizer jab did you have side effects and how long did they last?

I had my first Pfizer jab on Saturday, all ok at the time just a bee sting feeling from the site which is now a small bruise.
Sunday I had a huge IBS flare up which left me feeling really awful all day.
Monday I still felt bad in the stomach until around 4pm (very nauseous)
I also feel absolutely knackered.
I have had headaches on and off since then (usually only get period headaches, period not due yet at all)
I have a weird tingly feeling in my muscles in particular in the arm the jab went into and my little and ring finger feels tingly too with a weird feeling like hot water has splashed on them. Back muscles also feel a bit achy.
Most of my family/friends have had no side effects at all with the Pfizer.
I was expecting to feel a little off but as I already suffer from awful health anxiety I am stressing that this will go on for a while.
If you had any side effects did they last very long?

Nothing on the first, bit of a headache on the second which was gone by the next evening. It was boiling hot that day so could have been heat related.

DD just felt a bit off next day, paracetamol sorted it out.
DF had nothing. DH felt shivery/tired next day.

No side effects - not for DMil (96), DS and DD (YA) or me (late 50ties).
Those who have nothing to complain about do not talk about it. You do not hear about happy marriages either.

Nothing for me except a sore injection site....which is to be expected when metal has been stabbed in your muscle

Ellarain · 07/09/2021 17:52

No side effects, just a sore arm on the first, not so much on the second.

StarshipsAreMeantToFly · 07/09/2021 17:55

2 weeks and then a dodgy period 3 weeks after

PilatesPeach · 07/09/2021 18:23

nothing after 1st, swollen armpit for 2 days after 2nd dose

Pinkpowderpuff · 07/09/2021 18:57

Bit of nausea and a very sore arm that lasted a couple of days then 4 days later I got pins and needles in the hand on the side I was jabbed, mainly in little finger and ring finger, a bit over the back of my hand. That lasted about 3/4 days then faded away. Fine otherwise! (12 days post first jab).

Had mine 5 days ago Bad stomach the day after and felt like I had been punched in the arm by the hulk for 3 days 😂

EmeraldShamrock · 07/09/2021 19:02

I felt tired my arm was like a dead weight heavy and painful after both jabs.

MissMarplesGoddaughter · 07/09/2021 19:10

Me - after Jab 1 - a sore arm for 24 hours and nothing else
after Jab 2 - a sore arm for 24 hours and another else

DH - after Jab 1 - a sore arm for 24 hours and nothing else
after Jab 2 - nothing at all......

allgoodthings84 · 07/09/2021 19:12

After the first I felt horrendous for around 4 days. Whole body aches and nausea. After the second nothing at all

Pinkspecs · 07/09/2021 19:15

No real side effects just my arm hurt a bit the next day, but I think that's generally more to do with how they put the vaccination in.

Bobholll · 07/09/2021 19:26

None at all bar a dead arm. I anecdotally don’t know anyone who side effects from Pfizer bar the sore arm & minor headache. I’m 33 so a big wave of friends & colleagues all had it the same weekend as me. We were all fine.

Cousinit · 07/09/2021 20:02

Just a sore arm and fatigue for 24 hours afterwards for me. Exactly the same both times.

Thewholeshackshimmy · 07/09/2021 20:58

pinkpowderpuff interesting that you also had the tingling in the little and ring finger just like me, that’s the thing concerning me the most atm so reassuring to see that went quite quickly for you,
