I’m just wondering if anyone has been recently and what sort of experience it was?
We will be travelling from England and staying in Vienna.
We’ve ordered the test to take prior to returning home and also the test we need to take on Day 2.
We’ve both been double jabbed and never had Covid.
Thank you x

Austria is functioning mostly as normal. Take masks with you as required in some shops and your vaccination certificate

Thank you. Are you Austrian or did you travel for a holiday please?

Aww how lovely. We’ve been researching nice places to go. We’ve booked Zotter. Our hotel is fairly near to Pratur and DH is excited to try a pork knuckle!
I’m looking forward to Cafe Central and some of the other lovely coffee shops. We are hiring a car for the week.

We went about 3 months ago. At that time they were asking for covid vaccination certificates everywhere at that time, might be less so now but I would plan to have your paper work handy wherever you go. We were denied access to a restaurant (rightly so) when we left our certificates in the hotel.

You may find you don’t need a car in Vienna and could get away with one just for a couple of days exploring outside the city. Everything in the centre is walkable and the underground, tram and bus system is excellent.

Currently in Vienna.
Having a great time but need advice for a parking ticket we were given.
A kind lady paid for 2 hours parking for our car via an app, and we gave her the cash.
When we got back to the car, we’d been ticketed.
I spoke to the guy who said we’d park in a forbidden space.
We accept that now, though at the time we didn’t know.
Is it easy to pay this at a post office as it is all I. German and someone just said pay at the post office.
Many thanks
