Last night my temperature went up to almost 40, felt shivery and hot and cold, aching all over, sore eyes, awful headache etc. Lateral flow was positive, line came up almost straight away.

Felt awful through the night, temp still over 39 with paracetamol, couldn’t stop shaking etc. Went for PCR today and obviously self isolating- but weirdly now, although I still feel pretty rubbish, my temperature has gone down and I just feel a bit achy and tired with a bit of a headache and cold symptoms.

In a pre Covid world I would have been back at work tomorrow and not thought anything of it. Obviously if the PCR does come back positive, I will self isolate for 10 days, but is it possible to go from feeling so awful to ok ish in less than 24 hrs with Covid?! I guess the PCR is unlikely to be negative?

I’m also double vaccinated and have been for over 3.5 months.

Should get PCR test back tomorrow. I actually spoke too soon about feeling better, it seems to come and go but tonight I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus, so achy and absolutely full of cold and also my throat is now starting to hurt and have started coughing a bit too. Sad Will just wait and see what PCR test says.
