False negative LFTs - repeatedly.

I've had many of these, some turning feint positive before the 30mins. Most turning feint positive after the 30 mins but within a couple of hours.

Three times the PCR has been negative. I've done 2-4 LFTs each time.

Am I the only one ? I've totally lost faith in LFT now but the stuff I've read online says false negatives are rare.....

But if you’ve had 3 negative PCR tests then the negative LFTs aren’t false are they?

Isn't what you are describing more a 'false positive'?

I think lateral flow tests are thought to not be hugely reliable. You can ignore the ones that get a faint line after 30 minutes, as you’re not supposed to check them after 30 minutes (or 15 for the new ones). After 30 minutes, a second line could just be an evaporation line (apparently).

The ones where you get a faint line before 30 mins then a negative pcr test are really confusing though. I don’t have any good advice but I share your frustration!
