White line on LFT?

Hi all,

This LFT was taken last night by DD and read after 30 minutes, as per instructions. It was negative. She took another earlier that day, also negative.

This is a picture of it this morning.

She has taken a PCR this morning as she has symptoms and is isolating.

What does the white line mean?

It's just dye run. These latest tests are rubbish for it. I've had all sorts of weird results once they've dried.

Thanks @FromTheAshes! I know you're not supposed to read them after 30 min but it was just left out on the side and where the white was gave me pause!

Waiting on PCR results now so should know one way or the other soon.

@SaborDeSoledad out of interest did you get your DDs results as my son has a similar white line (also has symptoms) ?

Hi @Bettyboopsboop, yes, PCR result was negative! I hope that's the case for your little one too.

I think as @FromTheAshes says the nasal swab only ones do funny things after a while - I've learned to read LFTs after half an hour and bin after recording result, and if I can't log it there and then take a photo and bin to avoid worrying about it!
