Should I test for body aches?

For the last couple of days I've felt awful. I had body aches and pains that came on really suddenly and I've felt completely wiped out - have slept 3 to 4 hours longer than usual the last two nights and still feel tired.
But that's it. None of the three symptoms the government say I should test for. But I'm wondering if I should anyway?
I know I could have picked up any random bug especially as I've been out and about more recently, and not everything is Covid. I just hate the idea of passing it to anyone else if it is.
Anyone had a positive test with just those rather generic symptoms?

You do not have the main symptoms, but you could take an LFT? If you're vaccinated fatigue is one of the common symptoms.

Yes I would test.
Lots of people with Delta are testing +ve without the 3gov main symptoms.
I’m surprised they haven’t changed testing requirements.

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

We never had any of the main symptoms but we’re positive. A sore throat and backache were the first indicators for me. I’d test - PCR not LF as I have friends who had lots of symptoms but tested negative for four days on LF but positive on PCR.

Yes I'd test for those symptoms.

We all had colds this week and we stayed away from people. If you are unwell can't you just not mix as far as possible?

I had cold symptoms then body aches and am positive. No traditional three symptoms

The very first symptom of covid for me was just body aches. I felt as though I was coming down with something. A word of warning though, I tested the day the body aches and my LFT said negative. Only tested positive day 4.

Intense fatigue is symptomatic - not only for Covid of course. Best get tested.
