In regard to the upcoming mandatory covid vaccine for people working in care homes, does anyone know if a hospice would be classed as a care home or not and therefore be included in this? Struggling to find any details or definition online.

I was told it was any place inspected by CQC but only by someone who read a news report. Are you thinking of applying for a job? Because it's not impossible they will extend the mandate to NHS so it may only be a short-term solution.

I believe this is the legislation: www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2021/891/made

And this is the definition of 'Care Home' it references back to www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2000/14/section/3
