Emailed by test and trace?

Is this a thing? All seems legit but I've never heard of anyone just getting an email from them before.

DH got an email yesterday from test and trace saying he has been id'd as a close contact; no dates or time scales were mentioned. He wasn't asked to click any links or anything dodgy. It recommends getting a PCR (he has one booked) but that's it - he is double jabbed but the email doesn't ask/mention it. Do they somehow know he is double jabbed? At the top of the email under an NHS banner it says his full name plus says 'account id xxxxx' so seems legit but I just feel odd about it.

Anyone else?

T&T will contact you by whatever means they are given. So if someone gave just the email address, then they will contact by email. If they are given the phone number, they will contact via the phone number!

When I worked for TTP we would email en masse sometimes if we had large groups of exposures and then follow up with phonecards.

Makes sense. It's interesting actually because he hasn't been anywhere but work, work seems a likely culprit but it was his personal email address
