Cautious of mixing with bf who comes out of isolation on Saturday. He still has a cough, temperature is up and down and he is fatigued. I’m not too comfortable in meeting him or having him Stay over so soon. Although you can come out of isolation is it really safe - I don’t want to catch it. I’m sure we will want a kiss and a hug. Have others gone out bang on the 10th day ?

If he has a fever then no. DH had to extend by 3 days for fever.

Still symptoms then no he can stop isolating.

I believe the cough can linger for quite a while but the fluctuation in temperature would concern me enough to keep my distance for a bit longer. Tbh I would encourage him to contact his GP for his lingering symptoms in case he’s got an underlying infection that he needs some treatment for. It’s not uncommon with covid I believe.

He has to continue isolating if he still has any symptoms other than a cough or loss of smell and taste as those can linger for weeks.

ChristmasCovid · 02/09/2021 21:48

He needs to continue to isolate if he has any of the following
High temp/fever
Runny nose & sneezing
Feeling or being sick or diarrhoea.

The above symptoms mean he may still be infectious.

If he answers his isolation calls from T&T - he will be informed of this each time they call.
