Would you have still had the vaccine if it didn't affect travel?

Please, no virtue signalling, just after honest opinions. If you could travel abroad without the vaccine, would you have had it?

Bearing in mind the current scientific information I.e. transmission is still possible, immunity wears off in months etc.

What about the booster? Will you have three vaccinations in the space of one year? Or be willing to be called an anti vaxxer, conspiracy theorist or COVID denier if you don't? Will you give up overseas travel or have a third vaccine?

Aposterhasnoname · 01/09/2021 17:00

Yes, 100% I would have had the jab whatever.

Aposterhasnoname · 01/09/2021 17:01

Oh, missed the last bit. Yes, I’ll be front of the queue for the booster. And any other boosters after that.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 01/09/2021 17:02

Yes

clemensiadove · 01/09/2021 17:06

Well fuck me. Congratulations to you.

Another yes, yes, yes for the jab ASAP, whatever.

Booster if necessary, definitely.

Three vaccines in the space of a year? Ha, ha, ha. When I go travelling I have plenty more than that. If someone offers me a jab that will most likely prevent me from becoming seriously ill, my sleeve is rolled up ready. In fact, I've had two Covid jabs this year and 'flu jab is booked so I'll be getting 3 anyway.

herecomesthsun · 01/09/2021 17:10

you asked x

LST · 01/09/2021 17:11

@clemensiadove

Well fuck me. Congratulations to you.
What was the need in that comment?
Geamhradh · 01/09/2021 17:12

@clemensiadove

Well fuck me. Congratulations to you.
There are plenty of anti vaxxers on MN love. Try putting "mandatory vaccination" in your thread title and they'll all come away from their googling of discredited conspiracy theorists and then you can all pat yourselves on the back about what clever liberals you all are.
BlusteryLake · 01/09/2021 17:16

I mainly had the vaccine for the massively reduced symptoms and risk of hospitalisation in the event of my catching covid. Also, to try and prevent further school closures for my children. The more people who are vaccinated, the greater the chances of a return to normal.
So not to do with travel at all.

myotherusernameistaken · 01/09/2021 17:19

Yes, because otherwise I would not currently be able to go to a cafe for coffee, a restaurant for a meal or visit a museum.

Coconut49 · 01/09/2021 17:20

Yes because I'm in a more risky age group. If I was under 30 I probably wouldn't have. Theres more risk of me dying from Corona virus than there is of me dying from a rare vaccine side effects.

RoseWineTime · 01/09/2021 17:22

Yes, yes, yes

OurChristmasMiracle · 01/09/2021 17:24

I haven’t been abroad in 20 years and have had both my jabs and will take a third if offered it.

So no my reason for having it isn’t linked to travel although I would actually like a holiday next year!

Pissinthepottyplease · 01/09/2021 17:29

I’m 37 and fully jabbed and will be having the boaster in phase 2.

I’m on holiday now but that was a last minute decision made way after I had my first two jabs.

Youneverknowwhatyourgonnaget · 01/09/2021 17:35

I only had my jabs so I could travel but even after having them it’s so hard work. I don’t think I will have a booster and definitely won’t let my teens have a vaccine at all so the way things are going we won’t be able to have a family holiday abroad for quite a while or rather not where we would like to visit the USA but I’m sure someone will take us!

frozendaisy · 01/09/2021 17:35

Yes

bunnytheegghunter · 01/09/2021 17:37

I never go abroad and had mine, would happily have boosters same as I have the flu jab 🤷🏻‍♀️ don't need to give up anything as I never go abroad.

lawofdistraction · 01/09/2021 17:39

Yes, yes, yes, all the jabs please.

idontlikealdi · 01/09/2021 17:44

Yes yes yes vaccines all the way. Thanks for your concern.

User875906 · 01/09/2021 18:11

I probably won't have the booster, I doubt anyone will care anyway if I have had it or not to call me names

GoldFrankensteinAndGrrr · 01/09/2021 18:16

Yes because I'm CEV and not an antivaxx nob

ApolloandDaphne · 01/09/2021 18:16

All the yes. I don't even have a passport at the moment so travel is not any factor for me.

herecomesthsun · 01/09/2021 21:59

The Telegraph have are doing a poll of its readership and 82% would accept a booster, if that's of interest?

ZenNudist · 01/09/2021 22:04

Yes. Going abroad not a major priority but getting the booster would be great.

Dh just had it. I either didn't catch it or very mild. We are both 2x AZ

I know a 57yo not jabbed just died.

Risk of vaccine lower than risk of dying from covid
