Would you have still had the vaccine if it didn't affect travel?

Please, no virtue signalling, just after honest opinions. If you could travel abroad without the vaccine, would you have had it?

Bearing in mind the current scientific information I.e. transmission is still possible, immunity wears off in months etc.

What about the booster? Will you have three vaccinations in the space of one year? Or be willing to be called an anti vaxxer, conspiracy theorist or COVID denier if you don't? Will you give up overseas travel or have a third vaccine?

Of course.

I don’t understand why this is even a question.

We are incredibly privileged in the U.K. to have access to the vaccination and potentially to boosters. While much of the world doesn’t. Why on earth wouldn’t any sensible person accept these and thank their lucky stars.

Yes, the decision to have mine was nothing to do with travel. Travel just allows more routes for the virus to spread so we are avoiding it currently and will do so until things calm down.
I did it to protect myself, my family and others as I would hate to pass on a virus that can have devastating consequences for some.

I probably would have had it anyway but the travel aspect cinched it for me. I'd accept a booster if it was available but it probably won't be to me (31, no health conditions). I wouldn't pay for one if that was an option, I don't have the flu jab because I don't want to pay.

You can still pass on the virus if vaccinated so you could still potentially pass it on to someone vulnerable.

I took the jabs so that I could travel. I even organised myself to group 6 to get the jab sooner.

Out of interest, why are those hesitant about boosters being called anti vaxxers"?

It won't be a booster at all if folk haven't had the first two, and if they've had those how can they be anti-vax?

Hairbrush123 · 09/11/2021 09:17

Yes. I would take anything that could possibly save my life. This virus is very new still and no one knows how it will affect them if they were to catch it
