Day 2 test

Can anyone tell me what happens if you don't take the day 2 test after returning from abroad?

You get fined

No you don’t. You need the code for the PLF for entry in to the U.K. As far as I’m aware nobody is following up whether the tests are done in the right time frame.
If your result comes back positive that’s when test and trace get involved. I genuinely don’t think the government are following up the tests.

It’s all a bit of a money making scam.

That's what I'm thinking, is it all a scam!!
We've been abroad got back early hours of this morning paid for the 2 day test, filled the plf out. My sister came back 2 days before us and not took her test, she forgot! So what now??-

We took ours on time but I messed two of them up. Sent them off with a courier. Courier delivered them late. 2 came back negative and 2 invalid. I don’t think anyone will follow this up...
We’ve been back 8 days now. Im assuming we’re all negative since 2 are. (I did LFT for work too).

Still if I were to do again I’d just get the adult tests as they’re the only ones that go on the form. There’s no follow up.
