PCR test after covid

Hi, hopefully someone can help me with this. Dh has tested positive with a lateral flow test after showing symptoms. We have both now taken a PCR test and are waiting for the results.
I have no symptoms, but due to living in the same household was advised to take one. Ds (22, double vaccinated) had covid early in July. From what I gather, he shouldn't do a PCR as the virus will still show up from his illness last month.

Can anybody shed some light on what he will need to do please? He's taking daily lateral flow tests, but not too sure where this leaves him regarding isolating. Thank you.

Perhaps get advice from the gov website, your GP practice or 119? (Or is it 111?)

You don't need a negative pcr to avoid isolating if you're double vaccinated, it's just advised.

You do in Scotland, don't know about Wales or NI

And AFAIK, you shouldn't take a PCR for 90 days after Covid as the result could be positive from the previous infection.

Are you in England? It's not mandatory for him to take a PCR, it's just advised.

I'd just carry on with the LFT, the chances of him catching it again after having it so recently are pretty small.

Really they advised me on the phone that in order to avoid isolating I needed to take a PCR test. I should have asked about Ds, but as he can't take a PCR I just assumed he could carry on but continue to take daily lateral flow tests.

Yes Mrs dh has symptoms, I don't but we've both taken a PCR test.
Ds had had covid already.

If you are in England, and your DS has is fully vaccinated (2nd vacc plus 14(?) days), he does not need to isolate.

That's what I originally thought Dumplings, but it's as clear as mud as usual.
