Re-arranging Covid Test

I hope someone can help. I've tried to search to no avail how to rearrange a covid test.

I booked a test for DS(17) as a precaution as a friend has tested positive. He took a lateral flow test last night, which was negative, but I feel since his DF works in the NHS we should be better safe than sorry. He has no symptoms and track and trace haven't called but he was with this friend in a group on Saturday evening.

I made an appointment for tomorrow morning at 9:30 am, thinking he has a free morning, but he arrived in from school and told me he has a University visit first thing. I have searched and searched but can find no way of rearranging, including on the confirmation email and text.

Anyone else found a way?

TIA

I think you have to cancel it, then book a new one.

Yes, but I cannot for the life of me find information on HOW to cancel it. I was hoping someone else had done so recently and could advise.

Are you in England?

Abraxan · 24/08/2021 18:08

We couldn't figure it out so just booked a second appointment, and just didn't turn up to the first.

But we have a lot of availability here so not like we were using up a much needed slot of anyone else.

CakeandGo · 24/08/2021 18:10

I would call 119 and get them to cancel it for you.

Puffalicious · 24/08/2021 18:36

In Scotland and I do feel like I'm taking up a slot as there is a shortage. I didn't know if 119 would deal with this.

I rang 119 a few weeks ago to try and cancel a test and the lady said you can't cancel so just don't turn up if you don't need it.

Thanks pink I'm afraid that's just what we'll need to do. Such a shame
