I've tested positive for Covid, just wondering how long it takes for track and trace to contact you for guidance?

My DS had PCR confirmation at 11am yesterday and track and trace rang me at around 2pm yesterday. V quick.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 24/08/2021 12:27

I got a call the day after.

gamerchick · 24/08/2021 12:28

Usually the day after. Seems to be a bit hit and miss depending on where you are though.

idontlikealdi · 24/08/2021 12:39

Result at 11pm call at 9am the next day. Then every day for the ten while days sometimes twice and it is fucking infuriating. They all speak like robots, so slow and obviously can't deviate from the script. Calls that should have taken 5 minutes took 20.

LynetteScavo · 24/08/2021 12:44

Eh? We got a call the next day (DS hung up on the first one because he felt too poorly) but the second one who phoned later was really lovely, not at all robotic and happy to talk to me because DS was still struggling. And then a call on the last day.

I think they asked DS to email them before they called, but he wasn't up to it.

RavingAnnie · 24/08/2021 12:46

I tested positive on Sunday. Woke up to about a million texts asking me to complete the T&T info online. T&T called me yesterday.

RavingAnnie · 24/08/2021 12:47

How are you feeling? I've am really poorly 😢

WednesburyPrinciple · 24/08/2021 13:07

Got a call about an hour after the pcr results arrived.

insatiableme · 25/08/2021 15:07

They called the day after my sons results came through. They have rang me three times today so far asking the same question, each time they have to speak to my son even tho he was ill in bed. It's a bit much if I'm honest or is this amount of phone calls normal for track and trace?

They will call until they get the info they need and are able to provide the advice and guidance. How old is your son? If he is too poorly to talk you can do it on his behalf with his permission.
Twilightstarbright · 25/08/2021 18:12

I got a positive result overnight and had emails from t&t but no phonecall yet.

Siameasy · 25/08/2021 18:19

They have called a lot. I answered and they asked if I was isolating

MoreHairyThanScary · 25/08/2021 18:45

Last week and the week before e had a call within 4 hours, today I tested positive email came through 0100 ( glad they didn't call then!) but I had a load of emails this morning asking me to log in to an online account they had set up ... tbh I cba I feel ill and have only been at home because 2 of my dc had already tested positive. I had a phone call about lunchtime.

insatiableme · 25/08/2021 19:31

He is 16 so he has to say I can speak on his behalf! I wish they would just get all the information in one go rather than phoning constantly. I haven't had no txt about a online account yet.

I took the call which came the morning after the PCR, I then got cut off as I was out and about in a field.

They didn't try calling back - then our local t&t called and they were lovely, I told them I'd already told all dds contacts and they were happy with that. Not heard anything since.

The people I spoke too were lovely. They told me chatting was encouraged as people could be struggling with the isolation.
